Free Halloween Harvest and City Pumpkin-Decorating Contest
Tomorrow, Friday night Oct. 17 from 6-8 p.m. at Denia Rec Center
|
Enjoy carnival games, a bounce house, a costume contest, a story-telling hayride, and more at Denia Rec Center. The carnival is free, but $1 rock climbing and concessions will also be available for purchase. Register by 7 p.m. for the costume contest; winners will be announced at 7:15 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the best baby, best toddler, best youth, best family, and overall most creative.

Denia Rec Center is also hosting a pumpkin-decorating contest between the City departments.

Jack-O-Lantern Jog, 5k Trail Run and One-Mile Walk
Saturday, Oct. 18 |
Run or walk the trails of North Lakes Park! Check-in will begin at 7 a.m., and the run and walk will begin at 8 a.m. Race day registration is $20.
If you preregistered, you may pick up your packet on race day morning or tomorrow (Oct. 17)
between noon and 8 p.m. at North Lakes Rec Center.The entry fee includes a T-shirt (sizes S-XL),
fruit, snacks, and drinks. Medals will be awarded to the top three 5K finishers in each male and female age division, and all walkers will receive a participation medal.

Kid's Pumpkin Patch Fun at Celina Big Orange Pumpkin Farm!
Saturday, Oct. 18

Kids, ages 5-11 will have a blast visiting a local pumpkin patch with a hayride, train ride, petting zoo, and Halloween maze. Kids will also enjoy good ol' fashioned activities and crafts. To top off the visit, kids will pick out their very own pumpkin to take home. Trip includes a hot dog lunch with chips,

Kids can be dropped off at Denton Civic Center at 10 a.m. and picked up at 4 p.m. This is a field trip for children only.

Enjoy carnival games, face painting, a bounce house, concessions, and a costume contest at MLK Jr. Rec Center from 10 a.m.-noon. Costume judging will begin at 10:30 a.m., and awards will be given at 11:30 a.m. for the best baby, best youth, and best adult costume. Families will be able to take pictures in the Haunted Courtyard, so bring a camera!

Zombie Haunted House

|
Come if you dare for the scare of your life! MLK Jr. Rec Center will be transformed into a haunted house. Entry costs $3 per person and $2 each time after. Parental discretion is advised.
